#there are a couple of ways to sign a death sentence #one of them is trying to trick Riza Hawkeye by disguising yourself as Roy Mustang #because she knows him to the bones #not just the way he walks and talks #she knows the way he breathes #how long each one of his pauses between words are #the way he looks at her #and how he tenses when he’s not looking at her at all #how his footsteps sound #and the way the air feels whenever he’s not around
and if you wait for me I’ll be the light in the dark if you lose your way
[[#Riza, #she’s the top sniper in the military,#The ‘Eyes of the Hawk’,#and she can barely keep her gun in her hand #because the last person she would want to.#use her gun on is him #And Mustang #he couldn’t even bare the thought,#of Riza dying because of his rage #(I say just in general) #and couldn’t bring himself to kill the scum,#that murdered his best friend. #He didn’t want to do that, #He didn’t want to hurt her # he didn’t want to lose her,#omg #if this isn’t love, #then someone explain to me what is.]]
I hate it when Riza gets turned into some helpless damsel in distress who needs to get saved by Roy in Royai-fanfics. I even thought it was a bit annoying how she got used to make Roy open the gate in the canon storyline. She’s a strong woman who can look after herself.
What’s it like to lose everything, right before your very eyes?
